7.1 You have a basketball hoop and someone says that you can play one of two games.
 Game 1: You get one shot to make the hoop.
 Game 2: You get three shots and you have to make two of three shots.
 If p is the probability of making a particular shot, for which values of p should you pick one game or the other?

 

這道題提出了兩種投籃遊戲，可以任意選擇一種，第一種是投一次籃，第二種是投三次中兩個即可，現給出投籃命中率為p，問p的取值和選擇哪個遊戲的關係。

這題是典型的我大天朝高中數學中的概率問題，當時做的題可比這個要難的多。對於Game1，只投一次籃，那麼獲勝概率就是p，對於Game2，要獲勝的情況有兩種，一種是3個全命中，概率為p³，另一種是命中其中兩個球_，三個球中選兩個的情況有3種，則命中率是3p²(1-p),那麼我們先求Game1>Game2的情況，即p > 3p²(1-p)，接的p < 0.5, 而當p = 0, 0.5 或 1的時候，，兩邊相等。那麼結論就出來了，當命中率小於0.5時，選Game1，當命中率為0,0.5或1時，選哪個都行。
