We've all been spoiled by Tom Brady's tumble: for the vast majority of quarterba

We've all been spoiled by Tom Brady's tumble: for the vast majority of quarterbacks it's still a sudden and steep. Ben Roethlisberger looks like he was playing full Thelma, Louise and  jumped off onto a rock. Steven Ruiz, the Ringer's director of video productions cut up Ben's throws in the game against the Bengals on Sunday, and then re-enacted them in grainy western-style video footage with saloon songs in the background. This wasn't just the most fun thing I've ever seen on Monday, but it was also one of the saddest, since Ben looks totally washed.

The Steelers have opted not to invest in the offensive line in this offseason. This has led to poor run play despite Najee Harris being drafted in the 1st round. Harris got 19 (!) targets in the pass game on Sunday, catching 14 of them. Lindsay Rhodes had me on her show on Monday, and she shared this information: Harris had 109 yards after the catch for 102 receiving yards. Imagine that!

Look at Ben's Next Gen Stats passing chart which confirms the problem. This combination has basically made this offense horizontal. He's not protected by any protection and he does not have the arm strength to push the ball downfield quickly.

The Steelers were going to hang their hat on defense but the secondary wasn't great when they first got there and the defensive line, which is the strong point of the team is now shaky and a number of players are out. The most notable is T.J. Watt, who was ruled out of  the game against the Steelers due to a groin injury. A couple of weeks ago in the same week, the Steelers defense was shaky and was an issue also against Joe Burrow Sunday. It's extremely difficult to see any way to ensure that these issues will magically be resolved.
