R12 Unable To Query Customer With Partial 'Customer Account Number'

This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

R12

Navigation Path -> (R) Receivables-> Customers -> Search Screen

Unable to query customer with the partial Customer Account number .

Example:

Search on D% no results
Search on D12% no results
Search on full D12345 - received results.

Cause

The data that the customer was querying on did not yet exist
in the hz_staging tables.

Using DQM - Data has to be in HZ_STAGED_PARTIES


Solution

Verify the following DQM setups

1. HZ: Enable DQM Party Search is set to YES
2. Assign seeded match rule to system profile
HZ: Match Rule for Organization Simple Search to 'HZ_ORG_SIMPLE_SEARCH_RULE'
This match rule contains the party attribute "Account Number"
3. Run the DQM staging Program
Navigation Path: Trading Community Manager -> Control -> Request
Staging Command "Stage all data"

Note: This program should not be run on a continual basis.

Note: To verify the data is there. Run a select count(*) from hz_staged_parties
or query the hz_staged_parties for the Party_id of the party.

4. Log back into Receivables
The match rule you have assigned in Step 2 should now appear
with the attribute "Account Number"

5. Query on partial account number with %

Results will now display
