根據 BuzzAngle Music 的年度報告，美國黑膠唱片和磁帶專輯的銷量在 2018 年繼續增長。黑膠唱片銷量增長  12%，從 860 萬增加到 970 萬，主要是已發行三年以上的唱片專輯和老牌樂隊如披頭士的專輯；磁帶銷量從 99,400 增長到 118,200，以新專輯為主。

CD 銷量下降 18.5%，音樂流媒體增長 41.8%。

去年最暢銷的黑膠唱片是《Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1》、邁克爾傑克遜的 Thriller，以及披頭士的 Abbey Road。
