.............[@more@]To configure Enterprise Manager 9i when using a three-tier architecture (EM CONSOLE > MANAGEMENT SERVER > INTELLIGENT AGENT), you need to verify the following:

1) Configure the Target Nodes

- Verify the post-installation script (root.sh) has been ran
- Verify permissions on the Intelligent Agent (dbsnmp) executable
- Start the Intelligent Agent "agentctl start"

2) Configure the OMS and EM REPOSITORY

- Run the Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant and upgrade / create a new EM Repository (Check Note: 165048.1 - How to Configure EM 9i Management Server and EM Repository) for more details.

- Start the Oracle Management Server "oemctl start oms"

3) Configuring the EM Console

- Start the EM Console "oemapp console"
- Discover Managed Nodes and their Managed Services (Note: 149910.1 - How to Discover Remote Nodes from Enterprise Manager Console)
- Set Preferred Logon Credentials (Note: 117200.1 - How to Set Preferred Credentials for Enterprise Manager 2.x and 9.x)
- Test the Job System (Note: 73989.1 - How to Run a Job through the Enterprise Manager Console)
