對於0.10.1以上版本的kafka, 如何從外部重置一個執行中的consumer group的進度呢?比如有一個控制檯,可以主動重置任意消費組的消費進度重置到12小時之前, 而使用者的程式可以保持執行狀態,無需下線或重啟。
需要這麼幾個步驟:
1. 加入這個group
2. 踢掉所有其它group memeber
3. try assign all TopicPartition to this client
4. commit offsets
5. leave group
其中第二步是為了讓自己當上leader,當然有可能不需要踢掉其它所有成員就能當上leader(因為誰能當leader實際上是按hashmap的迭代次序來的)。
當上consumer group的leader以後,需要把所有partition assign給自己,這個需要一個特殊的PartitionAssignor。由於這個assignor的協議跟其它consumer group協議不同(但是也可以搞一個表面上協議相同,實際上邏輯不同的assignor),而cooridnator會阻止與當前leader使用的協議不同的成員加入,所以還是需要踢掉其它成員。

這個assignor需要知道leaderId是哪個,而leaderId可以在KafkaConsumer的
protected Map<String, ByteBuffer> performAssignment(String leaderId, String assignmentStrategy, Map<String, ByteBuffer> allSubscriptions)
中獲取,所以還需要修改一下KafkaConsumer的程式碼,以確保這個KafkaConsumer的poll並不實際拉取訊息,而只是執行commit。
驅逐其它member,可以使用AdminClient完成

需要注意的是,傳送LeaveGroupRequest可能會使得某些成員到broker的連線斷掉,發生這種情況的原因是:當一個consumer傳送JoinGroupRequest以後,外部的client再傳送一個LeaveGroupRequest把這個consumer踢掉,會使得它個consumer無法收到JoinGroupResponse,從而使得NetworkClient以為連線掛掉。不過client以後會重新連線。而且,在外部client踢掉其它成員並且重新commit offset的過程中,其它consumer不一定有機會加入到group中,因而可能不受這個問題的影響。
