SAP PP how to re-read master data for process order?

The correct procedure is below:

  • Create Process Order and Release the Process Order.

  • Before Re-reading the master data, click on the Material List button.  Click in the requirement quantity column, then put 0 in each requirement quantity.  Then, save the process order.

  • Open the Process order in change mode (COR2).  Then, re-read the master data.  It will put the process order back at the “CRTD” status.  It will also update the transfer requirements appropriately automatically.  No additional manual steps to delete TRs using LB02 will be required with this process.

After testing, for the pick parts, we found that:

  1. We can re-read process order when TR is open (no subsequent TO document).

  2. We cannot re-read process order once TO document created, no matter if TO was confirmed/cancelled. Even if I cancelled TO and deleted TR document, the process order still cannot be re-read.

  3. This is due to the system design. When you delete transfer requirements, the transfer requirement quantity is not reset in the related reservations. You will have error message C2 135 while doing read PP master data. We can refer OSS note   1642564 - Open transfer requirement prevents re-read of master data. Use the program ZPSFC243B to transfer requirement quantities to reservation.
