EM Cloud Control 12c OMS 及 OMA 都需要部署Plug-in的原因 - 1

仔細檢視了一下文件， 大致搞清楚了為什麼Oracle產品還需要Plug-in及Agent端為什麼也需要Plug-in .  


幾乎所有的Oracle 產品都需要plug-in.  如 EBS, DATABASE, SIEBEL, PEOPLESOFT, GOLDEN GATE, Fusion application, JDE, TimeTen,Exadata, Fusion Middle(Weblogic), Tuxedo, ZFS storage, Audit Vault, My Oracle Support. 若沒有 plug-in ,這些target 幾乎無法識別及管理。 非Oracle產品也是一樣。    這裡包括OMS, OMA 端。

OMS管理端Plug-in 的作用：
1.  Plug-in版本更新比EM核心平臺版本要頻繁，Plug-in可以使得不需要等待EM平臺下一個版本，就能為最新Oracle產品更新最新的特性和管理支援，來提供這些功能。  比如，當一個新版本的Oracle資料庫釋出時，你可以簡單的下載和部署最新的Oracle Database Plug-in , 它包括了針對最新版資料庫的management support (而不需要升級或等待升級到下一個EM最新版) .
 
OMA (Agent)端Plug-in的作用 (discover 及 monitor)：
1.   我們在Add Taget, 增加一個資料庫到EM中時，需要discover這些target, 這時EM下資料庫plug-in中的discovery plug-in component會被自動部署到在資料庫主機上的OMA (Agent) 上。  
2.     Once the targets are discovered, they are added to the infrastructure, so that they can be monitored in Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.  While adding targets, the monitoring components of plug-ins are deployed to the Management Agent home.
