11月再次參加了晨讀，這是第二次，與之前的不同這次主要是精讀一本書:

我自己閱讀有時囫圇吞棗，關注點沒那麼細，多聽不同的聲音可以更好開啟這本書。

我是如何學的

1.預習和聽音訊

先自己讀一遍，對照葛傳槼註釋本

第二遍零碎時間聽音訊：洗漱時、做家務時聽著音訊再把書擼一遍

2.從Eric老師身上學習：

1)背誦

老師留的背誦作業都是精華句子，完成背誦滿滿成就感，現在不時還能隨口就來where had they all gone...

2)活學活用 多舉例子

老師強調的語言點都會結合自己舉例子，讓我們印象深刻，我也很是受用，第一天晨讀後我就學著造句

Thank you Eric, I still have a vivid recollection of the first Morning reading A puma at large in summer. The wrong we made，the word puma we practiced again and again...

3）晨讀如鬧鐘，逼自己早起

夜貓子早起太難了，但我知道不push自己一下不行了，先通過一個引子練習一下吧。

每天聽著老師的聲音開始一天的學習計劃也是不錯的，希望Eric老師不要怪我把晨讀當鬧鐘...

引用Eric的話對Eric說：

I’m suffering the withdrawal from Morning Reading. I miss your voices as much as I miss Mr Chips.

3.他山之石：做筆記的同學

給堅持每天晨讀後及時覆盤的小夥伴點贊：立裡同學的筆記我就很喜歡，自己沒有時間就看看其他人的優秀筆記，及時複習每日老師提到的要點。

沒有時間也要創造時間，學習可以多種途徑。

4.感受

1）進一步有一步的歡喜

每日背誦的句子時不時想起來就朗誦一下，很有成就感。

2）不求完美

我每天沒有太多時間預習精讀做筆記但是閱讀別人的筆記也能學到。

面面俱到反而無法做好自己，有主有次，雖然自己沒有上麥，沒有每天記筆記，但是我讀了，背了，跟著學習了。

3）養成習慣

通過晨讀養成早起背書的習慣，Old habits hold sway over us.

多查多比較：不能放過每個詞，沒見過的用法，熟詞也是生詞！

4）珍惜當下

讀完這本小書，相信很多夥伴們都跟我一樣會感傷，不捨Katherine的離開，更不捨我們“讀了一生”的chips離開。

我們唯一能做的是記住他們的故事，活好自己的當下，珍惜身邊人。

最後，看一本書，學幾個好句子，足以：

When you are getting on in years it is nice to sit by the fire and drink a cup of tea... 想象一下：當我們老了，搖著搖椅就著暖風機喝著茶

Rarely did he read more than a page of it before sleep came swiftly and peacefully... 很生動的描述，我男朋友跟著看Chips，結果他總是沒看幾頁就困了……

You're past the age when people get these horrible diseases; you're one of the few lucky ones who're going to die a really natural death.

I am probably the only man in the world who has a vivid recollection of ... 我大概是世界上唯一一個對某人有清晰記憶的人了吧。

想起逝去的奶奶、外婆外公......

他們的音容笑貌是否也都漸漸模糊在人們腦海裡，只剩我一個人獨自懷念......

You are a young man, Mr.Chipping, and Brookfield is an old foundation. Youth and age often combine well. Give your enthusiasm to Brookfield and Brookfield will give you something in return. 有付出總有收穫

Never mind; you're full young; it's largely a matter of experience. You have a another chance here. Take up a firm attitude from the beginning, that's the secrect of it.

老校長對新來的Mr.Chipping的教導也適用於我們平時對新人的鼓勵時用。

He had no private means and no family connections of any importance. 他沒有私人財富也沒有顯赫的親戚。

這句平時我們可以用來描述自己或別人是白手起家。

A decent career, decently closed.一份體面的工作，體面地結局了。

這句純碎是喜歡，朗朗上口。注意decent的從形容詞到副詞的轉換。

For his marriage is an triumphant success. Katherine conquered Brookfield as she had conquered Chips; she was immensely popular with boys and masters alike.

注意：後半句 =popular both with boys and masters

But she had not always pleaded for leniency. On rather rare occasions she urged severity where Chips was inclined to be forgiving. ' I don't like his type, Chips. He's too cocksure of himself. If he's looking for trouble I should certainly let him have it. 如果他想找麻煩，那我就讓他嚐嚐。

What a host of little incidents, all deep-buried in the past. 好多的小事情啊，全都是深埋在回去中的。

Somehow,too, his recollections lost much of their flavour when they were written down; that story about Rushton and the sack of potatoes, for instance—it would seem quite tame in print. 腦子裡的故事寫下來有時會失去原有的味道，變得平淡無味。例如Rushton和那袋土豆的故事。

The work gave him something to do, filled up an emptiness in his mind and heart. He was different; everyone noticed it. Just as marriage had added something, so did bereavement... 正如婚姻給他添了些什麼，失去伴侶也如此。工作填補了身心的空缺...

Where had they all gone to, he often pondered; those threads he had once held together; how far had they scattered, some to break, others to weave into unknown patterns? 配合那些花兒這首歌一起效果非常好。直接意思：他曾經握在一起的那一根根的線（指學生），都四散得那麼遠，有的斷了，有的織成不知什麼圖案。

I suppose at that age anything you say to anybody is all right.

You've put your life in his hands many a time.  注意many a 的用法：修飾的名詞用單數

Chips, thinking it a good many times, always added to himself that Katherine would have approved, and would also have been amused. 虛擬語氣；注意 a good many times 許多次； Chips總是聯想到愛人，想到她會是什麼態度怎麼反應......也是惹人憐的一處，情之深。

不定冠詞倒置：

a（或 an）通常用在一般形容詞的前面，例外情況：a（或 an）用在形容詞的後面的情況：假使形容詞前面有 what、such 和 many ,how, however, as, so 或 too，那 a（或 an）用在這形容詞的後面。                                     

例如：such a garden, many a garden, how beautiful a garden, however beautiful a garden, as beautiful a garden as I ever saw, so beautiful a garden, too beautiful a garden

But instead of widening them to form a genuine inclusive democracy of duke and dustman, Ralston was narrowing them upon the single issue of a fat banking account. 這是他的內心獨白，對對方的吐槽：不是擴大它們（各種古老的紳士傳統）以形成一種把公爵和清潔工包含在內的真正的民主，而是（把各種古老的紳士傳統）縮小到單純是一個鉅額存款的銀行賬戶的問題。
