Scheduled Process Chain is not Running in SAP BW 7

Hi Experts,

I would like to schedule a PC in Quality System but it is not running on its specified date.
I have set the start time on factory calendar to run at the 10th working day at 17:00:00 CET, which was yesterday in Germany.

In SM37 it is showing as planned but without a starting time or any log.

What I did in SM37 to figure out my pc.
1. Went to SM37
2. Entered the job name: BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER
3. user: *
4. Enabled all checkboxes
5. Set the start and end date according to the entered start time of the process chain
6. Selected run
7. Filtered on my user account at job creator field
8. Select one job and click "STEP"
9. Selected the program and on the menu "JUMP --> Variant"

Do you have any idea why it is only planned and not executed?

I already checked system time vs local time
replicated the factory calendar again
activate and scheduled the pc again in rspc

But the chain will not run.

Any input is much appreciated

Hi Crunny:

Try to check in SM37 whether you see any job with Released status also. If so then select that job and under the Menu Option "JOB" you will see an option called Released to Scheduled.

Choose that one and let me know whether that works.

I believe that you make some mistake, because SM37 (side R/3).
When you start the process chain RSPC (side BW).
Start the process chain with RSPC. To watch this process chain it's necessary that you found the process chain and click on the top of this process chain and click over the book and observe what happened with this process. This appear an option where you choose the time. Choose the correct time you run the job.

The problem was before the PC. :-)

I set the PC to run on the 10th working day but I checked the PC at the 9th working day. (ups :-) ) .
In SM37 the chain was planned so all was correct. The PC started on its specified date.

If you have a PC which is planned and will not run, try the following: Please verify when the PC should run before - is it on start immediately or on specific date?

1. edit pc
2. check and activate again
3. click on schedule.

Do you have a process chain which is scheduled but not running?

If yes, check and activate the process chain again, and than schedule it.

you can check after scheduling via SM37. it should have the status "planned".

You have to search for your process chain.
