So pleased to hear that you intend to participate in a speech contest on Chinese culture.Today, I am writing to give some suggestions.
很高興得知你打算參加關於中國文化的一個演講比賽。 今天，我寫信是想給你一些建議。
To begin with, during the past years, it was your hard work that has enabled you to accumulate adequate knowledge about Chinese culture. So, be confident and you will do a great job.
首先，在過去的幾年裡，正是你的努力使你積累了足夠的中國文化知識。所以，要有信心，你會講得很好。
Secondly, I know that you are keen on ancient Chinese architecture and we have visited the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace together. Thus, it is advisable for you to choose ancient Chinese architecture as your topic.
其次，我知道你很喜歡中國古代建築，我們還一起參觀過長城、故宮和頤和園。因此，建議你選擇中國古代建築作為演講主題。
