1、gdm登入畫面的更換。

下載 GDM Greeter ，在root 使用者下執行

#gdmsetup

在graphical Greeter中，安裝新的 themes(你下載的GDM Greeter 檔案）。

2、splash 更換。

splash就是你啟動gnome時螢幕中間出現的圖片。

同樣，下載splash圖片（一般是PNG格式的）。用該檔案替換/usr/share/pixmaps/gnome-splash.png檔案（注意，檔名仍然用gnome-splash.png).

3、安裝gtk2.0的themes.

下載檔案。

在選單－－－首選項－－－主題中，安裝你下載的主題。

4、安裝nautilus themes.

即檔案管理器的themes.

下載檔案。

點選開一個檔案管理器視窗（如桌面上的root目錄連結），在編輯－－－首選項－－－外觀中新增主題（你下載的檔案）。

5、更改metacity.

metacity 是你的視窗外部的裝飾。

下載檔案。

＃cd ~/.metacity/themes

#cp yourdownloadfile .

解開該檔案。

#gconftool-2 --type=string --set /apps/metacity/general/theme theme_name Where theme_name is the name of your theme.

6、替換gnome選單下面橫條上的圖示。

如那個可惡的小紅帽。

用你的圖示檔案（PNG格式）替換掉/usr/share/pixmaps/redhat-main-menu.png ,注意，不要更改redhat-main-menu.png 的檔名。
