SYMPTOMS

The "Install software and configure later" method using an existing database is failing with:

CAUSE

Not exactly determined.
This is still being investigated in Bug 7137054

SOLUTION

-- To implement the solution, please execute the following steps::
A)
1. Before running the ConfigureGC.pl script, change sys password to "default". It seems that the
10.2.0.1 version configuring is not taking in account the password set in the response file.
2. Run the ConfigureGC.pl script as in the document
3. It will fail at some step. When it does, change back the sys password to the one you set in the
response file.
4. Re-run the configureGC.pl script

B)
Make sure the password has at least one number in it, but the first character should be alphabetic.

default1

C)
Install base Grid Control for with:
-noconfig -silent -responsefile -force installation
and use the same passwords for DB users sys, system, sysman and the same password for oms-agent security encryption.
