The performance management framework is the backbone of Business Objects Analytics. This document introduce you how to install the performance management framework, but this is not an Installation Guide, it will talk about some key steps during installation and make a demo dashboard report.

1. Install performance management components

Run setup.exe from the root directory of your product distribution, and follow the wizard to install the performance components. For more details, you can see “BusinessObjects Enterprise™ XI Release 2 Installation Guide

(xir2_bip_install_en.pdf)

After you finished this step, you can see a folder named “Performance Management 11.5” in your installation folder, and a “performance management infoview java” shortcut in your windows start menu.

2. Add license to BO server

Log on BO Central Management Console (CMC), click License Keyto add five licenses:

· BusinessObjects Dashboard Manager XI Release 2

· BusinessObjects Performance Manager XI Release 2

· BusinessObjects Set Analysis XI Release 2

· BusinessObjects Predictive Analysis XI Release 2

· BusinessObjects Process Analysis XI Release 2

(Note: You can find these licenses in partner_keys.pdf.)

Yes, performance management includes these five products.
