Symptoms



Release 12. - Receivables Manager Responsibility

Unable To Select and add Existing Contacts on the Customers Standard Page at Sites level.

This was available in 11i.

Cause

The new customer UI comes with Oracle (TCA)
Data Quality Management (DQM) feature in Release 12.

Solution


What you are seeing is standard functionality in R12. Please refer to the AR user guide.

The new customer UI comes with Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA)
Data Quality Management (DQM) feature. The DQM feature lets you:
• Perform advanced searches for parties and customer accounts with user-defined
criteria.
• Prevent duplicate entries by determining if the customer that you are creating or
updating is a potential duplicate of any existing customer.

Release 12

To turn on DQM search, duplicate prevention, set the system admin profile
HZ: Enable DQM Party Search profile option to Yes.

You will need to set up DQM for duplicate prevention.

Once DQM is set up and you attempt to enter a duplicate contact,
you will be prompt that a duplicate contact exists
On the Contact Duplicate Prevention page, select either of the following options:
Use Existing Person.
Create Person.

Here is a example of DQM match rule profiles for contact duplicate prevention

1. To prevent creation of duplicate contact:

HZ: Enable Party Search = YES
HZ: Duplicate Allowed = No
HZ: Enable Duplicate Prevention at Party Creation = Person or Organization
HZ: Match Rule for Contact Duplicate Prevention = SAMPLE: SEARCH
HZ: Match Rule for Organization Duplicate Prevention = SAMPLE: SEARCH
HZ: Match Rule for Person Duplicate Prevention = SAMPLE: SEARCH

2. You should also verify that the Search match rules are also defined

You may also reference note 565905.1.
FAQ on the setup/usage of DQM Profile Options for OCO and Receivables,
as other match rule profiles should be set up for search and duplicate identification.
This note was written for 11i but still applied to Release 12.

3. Verify the DQM Automatic synchronization is set up. See note 465993.1

Navigation Path -> Log into Customers Online Data Librarian Super User Responsibility
Administration Tab >
DQM tab > Setup > Synchronization Method

4. Run the following concurrent programs: (Only need to run this once)

-Run the concurrent program "DQM Compile Match Rules"
-Run the concurrent program "DQM Staging Program" with option STAGE_ALL_DATA

After the above completes successfully, retest issue in Receivables Responsibility.
