How to Rename the Server That Serves as the Data Store In a MetaFrame XP Server Farm That Is Using an Access Database as the Data Store.

Before starting this procedure, make a backup of the data store. See page 343 of the MetaFrame XP Administrator’s Guide for instructions about how to backup the data store.

To rename the server:

  1. Add the local administrators group to the Management Console administrators with full control.

  1. Disable logons to the server.

二、禁止登陸到此伺服器。

  1. Remove the server from any published applications to which it is assigned.

  1. Stop the IMA Service on the server.

  1. Rename the MetaFrame server.

  1. Restart the server.

  1. Navigate to the following registry key and verify that the value “hostname” reflects the new server name:

  1. Stop the IMA Service and recreate the local host cache.

  1. Start the IMA Service

  1. Open the Citrix Management Console and verify that the new server name appears.

  1. Verify that the new server has the correct product code and feature release level assigned.
