describe很常用。通常是指客觀性強的描述，比如“身高一米七，黑頭髮”，這樣的客觀描述。但是上面的portray和depict你其實都能換成describe。只要你說明白了就行：he describes Gandhi as a sacred hero with a story that Gandhi ditched his remaining shoe when he realized that he couldn't get the missing shoe back. 因為describe並不包含depict和portray帶有的暗示，所以你必須給讀者明示。
