Goal

The Goal of this Document is to provide Steps to Download and Apply Recommended Patch (WDJ7) for 11.1.0.1 Grid Control Installation using Smart Update Tool or using the Offline Method.

Solution

It is recommended to apply Patch WDJ7 on WLS home before Installing/Upgrading the Grid control to 11.1.0.1. Release.
Note: Make sure that you have successfully install WLS 10.3.2 on your host
1. Download which contains Smart Update patch WDJ7 for WebLogic Server 10.3.2.0

2. Copy contents of this zip file with the exception of README file to MW_HOME/utils/bsu/cache_dir
You should see the 4D53.jar, NIXN.jar, XLXA.jar and patch-catalog.xml

Note: If you see that the patch-catalog.xml file has a different name, please rename to patch-catalog.xml
e.g mv patch-catalog_15563.xml patch-catalog.xml

3. Apply the patch by running the following command:-
[oracle@gcem bsu]$ ./bsu.sh -prod_dir=/u02/middleware/wlserver_10.3 -patchlist=WDJ7 -verbose -install

3. You can view the report of applied patches by running the following command:-
./bsu.sh -report -patch_id_mask=XLXA
./bsu.sh -report -patch_id_mask=NIXN
./bsu.sh -report -patch_id_mask=4D53
4. Patch is applied successfully now, you can continue with your Install/upgrade of Enterprise Manager Grid control 11.1.0.1.0
