Position I

Senior Software Engineer – Linux Embedded System

Description:

--Focus on the Linux kernel/driver development/architecture for mobile phone

Requirement:
--Familiar with Linux kernel development and architecture
--Expert in embedded Linux operating system, and its device driver architecture
--Min 5+ years experience in software development, preferably in embedded systems
--Solid background on Real Time Embedded System, especially in the fields of I/O interfaces, bus architectures and TCP/IP networking protocols
--Experience in any of the following processors, PowerPC, 68K/ColdFire, DragonBall, StrongARM, XScale, ARM, and MIPS architectures
--Strong knowledge in C, Assembly language
--The knowledge of Oscilloscope, Logical analyzers, debugging tools and related environment are preferred
--Ability to motivate and demonstrate technical leadership
--Good written and oral English skill
--Major in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering



Position II
Title: Chief Architect for Software Development Tools


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand the ecosystem requirements and market characteristics to support embedded device development, and translate this understanding into S/W strategies, roadmaps, and platform requirements
• Collaborate with engineering team on system architecture to deliver required common framework to support products development and evolution

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Deep industry experience in embedded device/desktop ecosystem development
• Have successfully worked on the delivery and deployment of software development tools/environment product(s) to the market
* Deep understanding of Eclipse and its sub program architecture and development are preferred
• Strong familiarity with working with the Open Source Community
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Min 8++ years of development experience in a commercial environment or Linux
• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or other degree program or experience that would provide equivalent knowledge
• With the good capability of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English


Position III: Software Manager for Multimedia Application Development Team


Responsibility
· Supervise 20-30 engineers
• Act as people manager to take care of people management and development, training plan and delivery, and other HR related issues
• Act as customer interface for business development and project management
• Assist in the maintenance of systems and software engineering process consistency across all core engineering functions
• Develop the structure, capability and resources of an engineering area to support existing activities and the introduction of new business
• Assist in the creation of engineering development plans and roadmaps for the relevant engineering area
• General technical leadership and business understanding of the relevant domains (Multi-Media)

Requirement
l Solid technology and working experience background in Multimedia Application Domain, such as Audio, Video, etc.
l Strong background in People Management is required
l Familiar and good experiences in Linux, C/C++
l Good knowledge of structured software development process is preferred
l Good communication/presentation skill and fluent written and spoken English
l Past records of successful team building and management
l MS preferred in CS/SE
l Min 8++ related working experiences
