Senior ABAP Developer

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Labs China is part of the SAP global development
network, creating solutions for the global, regional and local
markets. Labs China is fast growing and dynamic team of
software developers and application consultants. Positioning
itself as a Lab of Excellence, SLC is building a customer
focused and scalable organization that will create a supportive
environment for its developers to achieve the excellent quality
product expected of SAP.
IT Service & Application Management in Shanghai focus the
area, which helps our customers to reduce TCO in daily IT
operation and administration work. We welcome you to join us
to research and develop SAP next generation of system
management products based on SAP NetWeaver platform. The
developers in Shanghai will work closely together with the SAP
experts from Germany and will focus on specification design
and develop state-of-the-art system management products.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
-University degree or equivalent
-At least 3-5 years development experience
-At least 2-3 years ABAP programming skills
-Strong OO design knowledge and practice
-Solid experience with the application development life cycle
-Profound IT skills for efficient communication with software
product management team
-Ability of independent and team work with strong drive for
results
-Verbal and written fluency in English and mandarin is
required
-Very good team player, and good communication and
presentation skills
Beneficial Skills:
-Knowledge of ABAP OO programming
-Knowledge of Web Services
-Knowledge of Business Objects would be advantage
-Knowledge of ESI-Architecture would be advantage
-Knowledge of German would be advantage

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
-Write design specification, schedule independently at component or
feature level
-Design the Interface between known functionalities and new
component
-Evaluate the effects of new technology on own feature team,
participate in feature definition and design, applies knowledge of
customer to design decisions
-Schedule own deliverables accurately, works with manager to
make implementation trade-offs
-Write high quality code and create easily useable code for others
-Solve problem independently, complete follow-through on technical
problems, able to debug unfamiliar code from other groups
-Be a reliable contributor to the team
