AIX5.3升級後LPAR的Dynamic Logical Partitioning消失

         當升級AIX5.3 sp6到sp9的時候，發現HMC控制檯中的Dynamic Logical Partitioning 消失。

        檢視/var/ct目錄下錯誤日誌發現IBM.DRM.stderr顯示如下錯誤：

Cannot start resource manager IBM.DRM due to exception RMOperError, see trace file Message=2645-006 Operation failed due to exception CNoRuntimeDir from CDaemon::init with error code 0.

The assert subroutine failed: 0, file ../../../../../../src/rspc/usr/bin/drm/IBM.DRMd.C, line 214

        懷疑是作業系統bug造成，查詢IBM 相關的補丁網站，看到如下補丁IZ29205描述：
      

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• There were two problems introduced by the CSM1.7.0.10
  IPv6 work
  1) Sending an IP address to a Regatta HMC instead of a
  host name.
  2) giving RMC the "managed node name as known to the HMC
  (mn_name)" as the IP address instead of a host name.
  The mn_name value is placed into event notifications
  going to the HMC.
  In Regatta, DMSRM did not get node status from the RMC
  daemon. It  registered for events against the
  IBM.ManagementServer resources on the various managed
  nodes.
  It then used the event notifications to set Status in the
  IBM.ManagedNode resources. But to find the correct
  resource to update it uses the value of the mc_node_name
  field in the event notification.
  This field, for the Management Domain, is filled in with
  the value of the mn_name give to the RMC daemon by
  CSMAgentRM, via di_mcp_table_entry(). Since it is getting
  an IP address rather than a host name, it cannot find the
  resource to update.
  
  Event though customers have the fix for 151371, DLPAR
  remains broken since it is looking for the Status of the
  IBM.ManagedNode resources.

Problem summary

• DLPAR function is unavailable in Power4 environment when
  LPARS are running CSM-1.7.0.10.
  

Problem conclusion

• The IBM.CSMAgentRM daemon has been modified to allow for
  successful node management requests with Power4 HMC.
