啟動BIEE報錯--adrci.exe已停止工作

'adrci.exe has stopped working' While Installing And Starting OBIEE 11.1.1.7 On Win 2008R2 (Doc ID 1548559.1)

APPLIES TO:

Business Intelligence Server Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) - Version: 2008 R2

SYMPTOMS

  • OBIEE 11.1.1.7 on 64-bit win 2008 R2
  • Installing OBIEE 11.1.1.7 on a PC where 11.1.1.7 RCU was running fine.
  • During install and configuration (enterprise install option), you receive Error

"adrci.exe has stopped working"

but the installation continued and was completed successfully.

  • After the installation was completed, every time starting BI services, the same error raises for a few times.

CHANGES

 Installing OBIEE 11.1.1.7

CAUSE

adrci.exe in the ...\wlserver_10.3\server\adr is not correct

SOLUTION

  1. take a backup copy of adrci.exe found in ...\wlserver_10.3\server\adr
  2. Take the the adrci.exe included in the 11.1.1.7 RCU directory
  3. replace the adrci.exe from ...\wlserver_10.3\server\adr

This will resolve the issue.
