Symptoms

12.1.0.3 Cloud Control installation failed with following error:
ERROR: Unable to continue with the installation because some one-off patches could not be applied successfully.
To resolve this issue, review the following log file:/cfgtoollogs/opatch .

Cause

Issue is with OPatch available in the OMS home.

Solution

Perform the following steps:

1. Download the patch 6880880 for 11.1.0.0.0 release for correct OMS machine OS
2. Unzip the patch to get the OPatch directory
3. Rename the OPatch directory under (for example, /oracle/oraoms/12.1.0.3/oms/oms/OPatch)
4. Copy the OPatch directory got from step 2 to (for example, /oracle/oraoms/12.1.0.3/oms/oms)
5. Click on Retry in the runinstaller to resume the installation
