Symptoms

On : 11.2.0.2 version, Transparent Data Encryption

When attempting to start a rac node where TDE was used
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
ORA-28365: wallet is not open


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. srvctl stop instance -d racdb -i racdb_1
2. srvctl start instance -d racdb -i racdb_1

Cause

The temp tablespace still contains some encrypted data.
 
when TDE is used, some encrypted data goes into the TEMP TABLESPACE
 

Solution

1) create a new TEMPORARY tablespace

2) drop the old temp tablespace which may still have some encrypted data.

3) restart the DB with the wallet closed.
