no- valid devices were found on which to create new file systems

VMWare版本 ： VMWare Server Console  1.0.5 build-80187   

網上下了個RedHat Linux AS 5.3   正式版DVD 

用虛擬機器安裝的時候

remove all partitions on selected drives and create default layout.
remove linux partitions on selected drives and create default layout.
use free space on selected drives and create default layout.
create custom layout.

which drive(s) do you want to use for this installation?
當選擇任意一個後出現如下的資訊提示：
no drives found
an error has occurred -no- valid devices were found on which to create new file systems. pleae check your hadware for the cause of this problem.

這個是vmware的問題，vmware預設模擬的硬碟是SCSI,但是它模擬SCSI又有問題

解決辦法：
1.到網上下載vmware的SCSI支援驅動，（或者高版本的vmware）

2.重建一個虛擬機器，選擇custom方式,在模擬硬碟的選項那改為IDE。

個人推薦使用後者，比較方便，而且模擬出來的硬碟SCSI跟IDE基本上沒什麼速度差異
