安裝Infrastructure時(建ocr)與建庫時(datafile)的ASM 冗餘的區別

現象：  

經常遇到我們在安裝Oracle11g  Infrastructure 的時候，  到了ocr及votingdisk 建立磁碟組時， 選擇Normal,  結果提示至少需要 三 個disk ,   如果選擇 high,   則提示至少需要 五 個disk .    但是你點選按鈕上的 "Help" 檢視上面寫的high ,  normal 及 external  卻對應的又是 3,  2,  1 ,     個人感覺這裡的help 寫的不清晰 ，  選擇了normal 後的報錯資訊如下 ， 顯然是提示需要至少 三 個disk     ( 字眼有點奇怪 ：   are  recommended )  。

 

Cause   the number of disks selected were insufficient for the selected redundancy level. 

 Action   For a disk group with redundancy level 'Normal', at least '3' disks are recommended. 

 

以前發的一個帖子上看到大師 Ricky_Zhu 回覆的 ,  這裡貼出來供參考:

(1). 如果是用來放置ocr/vd的diskgroup，那麼external，normal，high 對應的failgroup至少為1，3，5個，也就是至少需要1，3，5個disk 

(2). 如果是普通的ASM 用來放置data file的diskgroup，那麼external，normal，high對應的failgroup至少為1，2，3個，也就是至少需要1，2，3個disk  

 

看文件的解釋，貌似11.2 開始， 儲存ocr及votingdisk時 Normal 需要3個，High 需要5個。   11.1  暫時沒有安裝測試過 ， 按照文件說法， 11R2 之前應該是隻需要3,2,1 個 。

Starting with Oracle 11g Release 2, Oracle Universal Installer checks minimum number of ASM disks for ASM disk group to store Voting and OCR disk. so if you are choosing normal redundancy then you have to select minimum three disks OR create your ASM disk group with External redundancy. If you want to use Normal redundancy then you should have at least three ASM disks.
So there is nothing wrong with your installation process and this issue is not related to Suse or I would say it is not an issue at all.
