Oracle釋出Super Cluster

Oracle釋出了最新的一體化裝置：Super Cluster，這是基於Sparc架構的一體化裝置。除了基於SPARC晶片外，Super Cluster與Exadata和Exalogic最大的區別在於，這款裝置可以部署資料庫、中介軟體和其他任意軟體。

和Exadata和Exalogic架構類似，這款產品也是將Servers, Storage, Networking, Software整合在一起。

Nodes: 2 or 4 compute nodes

Storage Grid: 3 or 6 storage cells

Shared Storage: ZFS storage appliance with dual controllers

Software: Oracle Solaris 11 and Solaris 10

Oracle enterprise MANAGER Ops center

對於一個滿配的SuperCluster包括下面硬體：

4*T4

6*Exadata Storage

1*zfs7320

3*sun network Infiniband

每個T4伺服器包括：

4*SPARC T4 3.0HZ 8-core processor

32 * 2 * 16G DDR3 DIMMs(1T)

6*600G Internal drive

2*300G ssd

4*sun 10G network

4*qdr infiniband

此次釋出的SuperCluster包含了兩個新產品其中一個硬體Sparc T4伺服器，一個軟體Solaris 11。

SPARC T4 伺服器：

單執行緒計算能力相對T3：整形提高5倍，浮點提高7倍

包括機型：T4-1B、T4-1、T4-2、T4-4

T4-4：3.0G with OOO execution;T4-2及以下 2.8G

Dedicated L2 128K cache

Shared L3 4M cache

8 Cores with Private L2 cache

Solaris 11作業系統：

Been designed for clouds – Zones, network virtualization, ZRS

BIG data: 128 ZFS with built in dedup, compression, crypto

Fast, secure boot and database startup

Mistake-roof patching and fast upgrade

Enterprise security with least privilege, auditing, restricted root

Network:

Built-in, no cost, network virtualization

Build out and control network access for applications

L3/L4 integrated load balancer

IP over Infiniband(IPoIB)

Lifecycle Management:

Jumpstart 2.0 powered by AI,IPS;

Low Latency Oracle virtual environment

目前Oracle的一體化裝置已經包括Exadata、Exalogic、SPARC Supercluster和剛剛面世不久的Appliance，看來Oracle正堅定的朝一體化的道路義無反顧的走下去。
