Symptoms

 ERROR   OGG-01454  Oracle GoldenGate Manager for Oracle, mgr.prm:  Unable to lock file ".../ggs/11.2.1.0/dirpcs/MGR.pcm" (error 37, No locks available).

Cause

 This is a LINUX issue. Please address it with the systems admin.

This is usually a locks problem.

Solution

 Checking if 'nfslock' service is running:
1 # service nfslock status
2 rpc.statd is stopped

Start 'nfslock' service:
1 # /etc/init.d/nfslock start
2 Starting NFS statd:                                        [  OK  ]
