1) To enable the Hibernate option other then the windows server 2008 R2 server .
Go command prompt (Run>cmd>ok)
and type as
> powercfg -h on
Now you Hibernate option will be enabled in your shutdown location.
2) For windows server 2008 R2.
Right click on any empty location and select new>shortcut and the a window will appear as fallow.
Paste the fallowing line into the type the location of the item area.
%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState Hibernate
and click next and give the file name into the file name location on the next screen and click finish.
Now if you want to Hibernate then click that file to Hibernate.
